DO NOT stay here! We booked the reservations in advance to our trip to Alaska. This was the only campground that required up front payment. That should have been a red flag, as no other campground required payment in full. The place is very hard to find. Staff are iffy. And the campsites stank of sewage, were not maintained (tall grass, ruts in the pull throughs, junk yard all around the sites). We left and lost our cost for 3 nights. We suggest Denali RV Park and Motel (about 2-3 miles down the road on the opposite side of the street). Clean, good sites, friendly staff, nice dog walk, wooded sites. This place is disgusting. The dumpsters are over flowing with trash. Literally there was trash all over the ground. The facilities did not have paper towels, soap or toilet paper. We stayed three days and the front office never had any tokens to use the showers or laundry facilities. When I asked the manger how am I supposed to shower if they don't have any tokens she respondedwith, "What do you want me to do?"There were broken down/abandoned cars on the property. Some people looked as if they took up a permanent residence and there camp site was filthy. There was also shady looking people and we did not feel safe. Do not stay at here! You will regret it. We were not told that there would be loud music playing until 3am! Also several people in our group were told different things about where to camp. We ended up on rock, right next to the music. 12am and still no hope of sleep. Good stopping point between Fairbanks and Anchorage. Gas, lots of lunch/drink/snack options, and they're nice people to boot. It was filthy and dirty. Rubbish all through the park. The bathrooms at the bottom of the stairs are not in use and stinks. $4.50 for disgusting broken showers. Broken picnic tables. Just drive on by. Atleast the wifi was working. I would not recommend
