We had dinner on 9/18/17, Monday of the Denali Road Lottery and the last week you were going to be open. The staff was awesome. They were engaging and very attentive. The food on the other hand............... We ordered the chicken wings as an appetizer for $13.99. We received 6 half pieces, 5 of which were the non-meat (or drumstick) portion, 4 thin 2 inches of celery and a cup of dip. The flavor was great, but for the price and the part of the wings we received, it was extremely disappointing. Our server advised us in advance that many items were not available due to the impending closure. We ordered the Rueben sandwich as were told that we got the last 2. They were extremely dry and no dressing. I would highly recommend you rethink your food as you approach your closing. Overall the food was extremely disappointing. I have eaten here before and this was not in line with what I remember. A wonderful place ! The premises are very typical, with the famous magic bus outdoors, the beers are good and a large choice of them. We had the chance to get there just before the annual closure, and we enjoy the fabulous food with a 50% discount. Amazing jalapeños staffed with crab and bacon and pulled pork sandwich. Furthermore, the French fries were perfectly cooked. It s just bad that the staff was really not friendly at all... Decent place for a drink. Maybe.... Food is sub-par and a rip-off. I went here because a tour guide talked it up as the place to go. My food was mostly spoiled before they started cooking it. Then add to that some rancid oil to cook the fries. I was starving and only could stomach eating about a third of my meal. I really question the cleanliness of the kitchen and brewery here. It stinks inside and out. If you venture to the restrooms, you will see their beer production area. Unwashed kegs thrown in huge piles outside. Brewing equipment covered with filth. Music is loud, and it wasn't live either. This I suspect was done to cover up the sound of a front end loader out back manipulating piles of manure. To finish off my experience, an oversized staff member stepped on my foot on the way back to my table and just about sent me to the ground. Not a word, just kept walking. When I have another 100 bucks to spend on a nice meal for my family, I won't be spending it here. This place ROCKS! The solstice IPA is Superb and put a big hoppy smile on our face. Then our brewpub nacho with smoked brisket came out and we were in heaven! By far the BEST nacho we have ever had. Fun, relaxed, laid back, friendly atmosphere and incredible service. Fabulous place to visit after camping a few days in Denali N.P. Great place to visit. You can pay $5 and ride their shuttle all day. The restaurant/brewery is a gem out here in Denali. Cool atmosphere and good food. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
