We had an interesting experience with this company and its services. We reserved a group horseback tour for 2 hours and due to 45 minute delay from road construction (summer life in Alaska), we knew we might not make it on time (We were ~20 minutes late). We attempted to notify our guide 30+ minutes before we started that we would be late (we left several voicemail messages). When we were finally able to get in touch we hoped to compromise, even though we paid the full two hours we would only tour for our last hour (Essentially pay for a two hour tour, but do the single hour within our time block). Response: I already unsaddled the horses and you paid. No. That sort of service is the story I tell any future tourists about what to avoid in Denali. I recommend people pass on this one. Kara was an awesome guide. Best value I've gotten in Alaska so far. They don't do the "picture" thing like most outfits. Instead they take your camera and take some really good shots for you... for free! I had to pay around $5 each for digital copies on my last guided horseback tour. Kara took the picture below plus five more. They all turned out nicely. The owner seems to run a right ship. The horses are well cared for (no sores or skin blemishes) and friendly. My sone and I had a great time. His first question after we were done was "Can I go again?" First I would like to say this was better than I could have hoped for! Ivana was wonderful with great communication via email to get our reservation booked and paid for. I specifically chose this horseback riding option because I did not want something over crowded and wanted it to benefit a local family and it was PERFECT! My daughters and I had the tour all to ourselves and Kera was a great guide! We all enjoyed ourselves so much! Beautiful views and well behaved magnificent horses. Especially loved how the dogs tagged along with us. Thank you for such a great time, we made memories that will last a lifetime and that is priceless! Highly recommend this excursion!
